The Story
The Beads of Rice bracelet, in our view, lives in the pantheon of all time great watch bracelet designs. It's instantly recognizable, super comfortable, and can elevate just about any piece.
Forstner's newest addition to its beads of rice collection, the 11-Row Beads of Rice band, builds upon Forstner's classic beads of rice design (e.g., its 7- and 9-Row universal beads of rice bands) but brings it to another level. Forstner maintained the features that makes the beads of rice one of Forstner's most popular bracelets, including alternating polished/brushed finish, a patterned end piece matching the finish of the bracelet, and an easy single-screw resizing mechanism.
We didn't stop there for the 11-Row Beads of Rice, though. Forstner changed the clasp mechanism completely, using a hidden clasp design so there is one consistent design across the whole bracelet. Forstner's hidden clasp, however, uses a milled steel folding portion as opposed to a butterfly clasp mechanism for optimal comfort and ease of securing the bracelet on the wrist. And, to ensure the bracelet can be precisely sized, Forstner added half links behind the clasp. And, of course, the 11-Row beads of rice bracelet has solid stainless steel fitted end links for a precise fit on the watch case. We're thrilled with how this one came out.
